Which Mower Should I Buy? Try Our Handy MowHow Buying Guides and Get What You Need

The world is full of difficult to answer questions. How long is a piece of string? How green was my valley? How does Donald Trump sleep at night? How much is that doggie in the window? (That’s a trick question – we aren’t allowed to sell doggies in pet shops any more).

But one of the questions that invades the minds of gardeners at this time of year, whether it be old, young, beginners or experienced owners with machines that have given up the ht ghost

What about. Which mower should I buy? There is a massive choice and customers can get very confused. Dick’s blog yesterday was espousing the joys of some excellent Lawnflite mowers yesterday, as they will be increasing in price quite soon, but which Lawnflite mower? Which Mountfield Ride-on mower? Which cordless lawn mower?

And there are other questions. What size mower do I need? What type of mower do I need? Should it be rear discharge? Side discharge? How come a tractor is a ride-on but a ride-on is not necessarily a tractor? What size lawn do you need to justify buying a ride-on mower to my partner? What is the difference between a rotary and a cylinder mower? Where do I start?

Under normal circumstances, I would then start writing lots of useful, if long-winded information, punctuated by the

occasional silly remark, ‘Dad-Joke’ type, groan-worthy pun or literary based witticism but today…NO! We are trying to encourage our customers to use our knowledge base MowHow, so I am going to push that instead and just offer some simple advice and a couple of links.

ALL the information you are likely to need is on MOWHOW, ON THESE PAGES  Here you will find 19 articles on walk-behind lawn mowers including such topics as ‘What are the different types of lawn mower? What size lawn mower should I buy?and Should I buy a push or a self-propelled lawn mower?

You will also find over 20 buying guide orientated articles on Ride-on mowers and much, much more. We set MowHow up some time ago as a free resource to help customers or would-be customers, make choices so please feel free to browse and use the information to ensure you make the right choice.

You could also do worse than take a look at some of our other blogs on MowTalk. There are a great many to choose from.

Our library of blogs include product information from Dick, advice with a soft edge from me or some plain silliness with occasional advice from Holly. Plus many other categories that we hope you will find edifying or helpful.

However, if you feel the info doesn’t give you what you need. You can always call us (well, when i say always, I actually mean (9am-5pm Mon-Fri & 10am-4pm Sat) on 0345 4588 905 and one of our properly friendly product experts will be happy to help all they can (and they do know their stuff) As one of our customers recently posted…

A highly trustworthy company. Outstanding…excellent products at very reasonable prices. First rate staff who are very helpful and reliable. Refreshing to buy from a company with staff that care about their customers and do all they can to help. Thank you MowDirect’

And now wrap up warm, make yourself a flask of hot tea, get out in to the sunshine and enjoy your garden.     Drew Hardy
