The Apache RTT3 is a high-powered rear-tine cultivator that runs on large-diameter pneumatic tyres for traction in the toughest conditions. Driven by a 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton Intek OHV engine, it has an expansive 60cm tilling-width; heat treated, self cleaning tines; and an adjustable depth-gauge. The primary drive is via V-belt, with the final drive to the wheels and rotors via an oil-bathed chain. There are two forward-speeds and one reverse-speed for easy control; and the handlebars can be height-adjusted. This is the top-of-the-range Apache garden-cultivator and has been engineered to make light work of the toughest ground-preparation jobs.
This heavy-duty domestic-use cultivator from Bertolini is characterised by its blend of user-friendly operation; rugged build-quality; and lightweight handling. It’s powered by Honda’s ever-popular 4.8hp GX160 overhead-valve engine, so low running-costs and solid reliability are assured; and it features a two-speed transmission (1 + 1), which is oil-immersed for reduced wear and therefore a longer service-life. The Bertolini BT401S has a working-width of 50cm, which can be narrowed to 35cm for inter-row applications.
The Italian-built Bertolini BT405S offers the sort of rock-solid reliability and lightweight, well-balanced handling that are essential for those regularly tackling tough tilling and cultivation tasks. It offers a generous 60cm working-width, which can be narrowed for secondary tillage between crop rows; and it has a four-speed transmission (2 + 2) that ensures it’s highly manoeuvrable and easy to free should it become dug-in. Power comes from a 196cc Honda OHV engine, which has been isolated from the height-adjustable handlebar for reduced vibration-transfer.
