What Are These Buttons For?

del.icio.us, reddit, digg and spurl are social bookmarking sites that help people share content.

digg

digg is a user driven social content website. When you digg an article, that content is submitted to the digg site. Other digg users read your submission and digg what they like best. If your story receives enough diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of digg visitors to see.

del.icio.us

del.icio.us allows people to share and add to their favourite content. You store your bookmarks online, tagging content rather than putting it in folders. You can then browse and search del.icio.us to discover the content other people have tagged and bookmarked.

reddit

reddit.com lists new and popular content. When you press the reddit button on a page, the url appears on the reddit site. Other reddit users read that article and vote on it, forcing the most popular links to the top of the page. What's more, as a reddit member, your votes train a filter, showing reddit what you liked and disliked and teaching it to filter links accordingly so that your reddit lists reflects your tastes.

Spurl.net

Spurl.net is a free on-line bookmarking service and search engine. It allows you to store and quickly access again all the interesting pages you find on the web from any Internet connected computer. With Spurl.net you will never have to lose a good link again. You can search your links, notes and in fact the entire text of all the pages you've ever "spurled". You can start by uploading the bookmarks from all your computers - after that all your bookmarks will be accessible in one place. And because thousands of other users are using Spurl.net as well, you will discover interesting links through recommendations, hot lists and more.

Doing so brings several big advantages.Keeping your bookmarks on a website allows you to access your favorite websites from anywhere. Your bookmarks are available and always backed up no matter which computer you use. And even better, you can see what other people have found and share bookmarks with your friends. Bookmarks can be kept private, but most are public and available for everyone to see. See who has the same interests as you!

furl.net

Furl.net is a web site that lets you save interesting web sites, answering the internet ages problem how do you ever find the same informations twice. Do you save it to your local hard drive?
