Bosch presents the Grass and Shrub Shear Isio

Bosch has launched its Grass and Shrub Shear Isio, a lithium-powered cordless shear which it claims is a world-first for taking care of lawn edges, waysides, bedding frames or decorative shrubs.
With spring just around the corner, Bosch, among other manufacturers, will be looking to sell the latest in its line of shears and hedgecutters to help the aspiring gardener keep their lawns and beds in shape.
Bosch believes that its Isio power tool is superior to other shears on the market because of its light weight, its quick charge time and because it's extremely easy to use.
The lithium battery included with the Isio has a run time of approximately 40 minutes, which is reportedly enough to cut the lawn edges of two football fields and its quick-charge technology means that a completely run down battery offers 80 percent of the full power after just two-and-a-half hours of charging.
Boasting a grass shear with a cutting width of 80 millimetres and a shrub shear with a 120 millimetres long cutting width, the laser-cut and diamond-ground quality blades guarantee clean and rapid cutting.
What's more, the tool is made even simpler by the fact that no tools are required for changing the cutting inserts.
Bosch will be supplying the Isio to shops from March 2007 onwards in several different versions: as a grass shear; as a shrub shear; as a grass/shrub shear set; and as a grass shear with telescopic handle and wheels.
