Stihl introduces intelligent chainsaw

Manual adjustments to the carburettor of your chainsaw are a thing of the past, thanks to the new, 'intelligent' saw from Stihl.
The MS 280-I claims to be the world's first chainsaw with built in intelligence which allows it to maintain optimum power at all times along with reduced fuel consumption, regardless of changing densities of whatever's being sawed.
According to Stihl, it's all down to the innovative regulating system which electronically controls the full load mix and maximum engine speed.
In addition, the saw boasts ease of use, high performance ratings, low vibration levels and comfortable handling, thanks to its ergonomic design and a good centre of gravity.
Introduced as part of a new product line for spring, the MS 280-I joins the Series 5 Lawnmowers and a whole host of brushcutters, grass trimmers, hedge trimmers. multi-tools, leaf blowers and pressure washers - all new for 2007.
