Garden design workshop announced

Huddersfield gardeners who want to know how to do more with their lawnmower, brush cutter or hedge trimmer will get the chance at a new garden design workshop.

Slaithwaite Library is to host the session with Graham Porter on Thursday March 29th at 19:30-21:00 BST, best known for his column in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner as well as his garden makeover show on BBC Radio Leeds.

The green-fingered expert will look at everything from how to make the most out of design with simple tools such as a scarifier or garden trailer to creating a wildlife friendly environment.

Mr Porter commented: "Make your garden work for you, with help from me and an idea or two.

"Be inspired to design your land and I'll be there with a helping hand. Paths, ponds and arbours too, our ideas will help you through."

Participants can bring along photos of their garden, plus a rough sketch of the layout as well as any ideas of how they would like to transform it.

Attendance is free but booking is required, available through 01484 222500.
