Garden machinery and power tool experts Toro has entered into a partnership with top golf course management company Macdonald Golf Management (MGM) Limited. The deal will see Toro supply equipment for all seven of the company's UK golf courses.
Reported on Pitchcare.co.uk, MGM's golf course liaison officer, Barry Robinson, said that all of the course managers had chosen Toro as being the best firm for the job.
"In my opinion it's the best machinery on the market and can't be beaten in terms of value for money, reliability, back-up, service and overall quality," he added.
MGM chairman, Lord Michael Taylor, confirmed that having worked very closely with the course managers at all its sites, Toro was the clear favourite for all of the seven courses.
"[Since we are] offering five-star golf facilities, we need five-star machinery to maintain them. I am confident that by entering into a partnership with Toro we will continue to meet these standards."
Toro's lawnmowers vary from the industrial sized to the humble push-along variety. In the UK, the company has recently launched the Eurocycler models which are electronically powered and feature its patented Recycle-on-Demand technology.
