Toro presents new turf maintenance vehicles

Greenskeepers and those with large lawns will be pleased to know that Toro has just unleashed environmentally-friendly electric run turf maintenance machines as part of its revamped Workman fleet.
Boasting to be "a quieter, cleaner, more environmentally-friendly package", the new e2065 utility vehicle, presented on Pitchcare.co.uk, is powered by a 48V, 50-amp motor and comes complete with a 363kg (800lb) bed and a maximum speed of 16mph.
Batteries are standard 6V T105 and are built with a kind of "reserve tank" which automatically stores enough electricity to bring the machine back home when the power starts to run down.
A four-wheel braking system, previously only found on petrol-run Workman models, produces more effective and more efficient braking. In addition, as with all Toro's mid-duty vehicles, the e2065 is fitted with the manufacturer's exclusive 'twister' Active In-Frame Suspension to help provide optimum traction control.
As if that wasn't enough to keep the lawns perfectly maintained, the new ProCore 648 aerator has also been launched this week, proudly showing off its self-powered, 48in working width vertical corer.
Popular with greenskeepers across the UK, the ProCore 648's real selling point is the fact that unlike its competitors, the wheels are placed in front of the tines - meaning that they never run over the cores.
