Order before Dec 31st and pay just 15 per cent VAT!

Garden enthusiasts looking for a last-minute deal have been reminded that anything they order from MowDIRECT before 2009 will come with just 15 per cent VAT!

With the online retailer already having slashed its prices on hundreds of goods for its 2009 Winter Clearance Sale, there couldn't be a better time to buy a new petrol lawnmower or chainsaw.

A cursory glance at MowDIRECT's Best Buys section will show that the retailer has got into the festive spirit of things, with up to 50 per cent off some items.

The government has announced that it is to bump VAT back up to 17.5 per cent as the economic recovery continues forwards.

Many people are fitting in some last minute bargain-hunting before the return to the higher tax rate causes prices to rise.

Those preparing to get out the garden machinery in the early months of next year to plant bulbs for spring may wish to service it to ensure it is fully functional for the spring season.
