New electric-powered saw bench safest way to saw logs

Alison Patel writes: Saw benches are an essential piece of kit for those colder winter months when an open fire is a must.

An alternative to petrol and electric chainsaws, they are ideal for people who want a safe and easy way to chop wood.

The MTD electric-powered saw bench has a 46 centimetre circular saw blade and it can easily cut through logs that are up to 15 centimetres in diameter.

It is a very easy-to-use tool and comes with a powerful 230 volt electric motor, so users can get away with putting in minimal physical effort.

Unlike petrol chainsaws, the MTD SC45 Saw Bench makes hardly any noise and is emission free so it is ideal for using in built up areas.

Users can rest assured that the MTD SC45 is extremely safe to use as it has a moving table design.

This means that the table holding the log pivots towards the blade while the blade remains in the same position.
