MTD T410 rear-tine tiller ideal for larger-sized allotments

Tuesday, September 30 2008 18:38:35 by Alison Patel

Cultivators and Tillers Alison Patel writes: Any gardener hoping to make the most of their allotment or vegetable garden before the winter sets in will be interested in the MTD T410 heavy-duty tine tiller.

Soil that is compacted and virgin ground can be broken up easily using the MTD's forward and reverse gears and the counter-rotating tines that make short work of new soil.

The machine comes complete with a powerful six hp Briggs & Stratton OHV I/C engine that will work over a long period of time.

Those concerned about having to replace equipment should be reassured by the MTD's heavy duty chain reduction drive that has a permanently sealed chain case which makes for years of maintenance-free tilling.

With a tilling width of 46 centimetres and a tine diameter of 33 centimetres, the MTD T410 will get the job done quickly.

Sporting an incredible 16 self-sharpening heat-treated, spring steel tines that have a tine speed of 177 rpm, this tiller can handle even the toughest earth.
