How to inject some colour into a garden

Alison Patel writes: As the weather improves, keen gardeners should be looking at ways of injecting some colour into their gardens, according to experts.
Bunny Guinness and Elspeth Thomas from the Telegraph have commented that this summer it's all about bright colours in the garden.
Ms Guinness believes it is essential to decide what plants your garden requires and how many of them you need before heading to the garden centre.
She suggests calculating the area of bare walls and soil, especially in places that will be noticed, such as by front doors.
According to Ms Guinness, it is essential to take note of what sort of plants you are putting in which area. Plants such as geraniums, which are bushy take up a lot more room.
The gardeners also claim that coloured plants look better and have a bigger impact when they are higher up so plants in pots or tables are a must for the summer.
Finally Ms Guinness suggests that gardeners go for one colour scheme and stick to it, as well as hunting around for the best plants and not settling for second best.
