Use wood stain to bring added colour to the garden

Monday, June 09 2008 17:08:47 by Alison Patel

Gardening News Alison Patel writes: Adding colour to a garden is an easy way to create interest, contrast, and inject a fun element to large expanses of green.

One easy way to add colour without paying for expensive plants is to paint wooden garden areas, according to wood product specialist Osmo UK .

Objects that gardeners could paint to "add dynamism" include gazebos, decking or a trellis to "complement climbing plants", Easier Property reported.

As suggested by Osmo, a colour such as 'Lush Fir Green' is good for those that want to add subtle colour to pale wood, while 'Dove Blue' and 'Pebble Grey' "will give gardens a more modern look". Those that want a more traditional feel could get Sunflower Yellow or Cedar.

Country Colour is a wood stain which is available in 16 colours to create a focus for a garden and provides protection against the elements.

Osmo wood stain comes in a range of up to 186 colours.
