Arash Hekmat writes: Residents in Waterford, Ireland, are gearing up for the South East Garden Show, one of the biggest events in the local calendar.
With a new location at the Clonmel Racecourse, in County Tipperary, the show is expected to be a huge success, when it takes place on June 20th, 21st and 22nd.
Gardener and TV personality Dermot O'Neil will be officially opening the proceedings, and will also be providing a series of gardening lectures for those hoping to make the perfect outdoor space, Waterford Today reports.
As well as family entertainment, including a bouncy castle, there will also be plenty of plants, flowers and shrubs, arranged in a series of garden displays. There will also be more exotic plants, cacti, succulents and ornamental grasses on show.
All the products, including garden furniture, ornaments, water features, conservatories, and sheds will be available for purchase, and there will be an accompanying property show, with experts from around the world discussing opportunities in overseas markets.
Meanwhile, the BBC reports that one of the biggest trends this year at the Chelsea Flower Show has been for biographical gardens, representing various themes in the gardeners' lives, such as the commute to work or an undying love for the Beatles.
