Arash Hekmat writes: The Alpina Star 36 Petrol Brushcutter may be small and lightweight, but it is also an extremely powerful machine, driven by a 32.5cc 2-stroke engine.
At just 7.94kg, the Star 36 is ideal for medium sized clearing work, on either a domestic or semi-professional level.
It comes with a nylon-strap for easy carrying, a 'Tap-and-Go' head and a four-tooth metal blade capable of cutting through anything from light grass to overrun scrub.
The Alpina Star 36 Brushcutter is available from MowDirect for just £229 (including VAT), and also features responsive anti-vibration system, a comfortable shoulder harness and an ergonomically-designed handle and safety barrier.
For those looking for something slightly less powerful Alpina provides a full range of petrol brushcutters. The Alpina Star 28 Brushcutter, for example, sports a 26cc engine and weighs just 6.7kg.
For just £169 (including VAT), gardeners will receive a strong and safe machine, designed for maximum comfort during prolonged use, with a three-point steel disk for grass cutting.
