Portishead in Bloom fundraiser to feature 15 gardens

The main fundraising event of Portishead in Bloom is to feature a series of gorgeous gardens.
Each of the 15 outside spaces will be on display to the public as part of the open gardens weekend.
This is due to take place on the weekend of June 7th and 8th and will feature some old favourites as well as some new additions to the event, the Western Mercury reports.
Chris Button, a Portishead in Bloom member, told the local newspaper that the open gardens weekend offers something for everyone who has a love of the beauty of nature.
He explained: "There is a mix of entirely new gardens this year, some old favourites and some returning after a break and the gardens on view include some on the Port Marine development, one being a National Garden Scheme garden, demonstrating how skilful planting can make the most of a small garden."
Portishead has been a part of Britain in Bloom for over a decade and during its years of participation it has won several floral accolades.
