BBC programme to feature city gardening project
Mowdirect news > Gardening News
Friday, May 23 2008 23:47:26 by Laura Topp
Laura Topp writes: The BBC is to feature a city gardening project in a new documentary.
The project is aimed at helping the elderly and other vulnerable people to take care of their gardens.
Mow and Grow has been in operation for 12 months and to date it has helped nearly 300 people in the Norwich area to transform their outside spaces, Eveningnews24 reports.
Now, the BBC is to feature the project, which was set up by Sainsbury's PR ambassador Trevor Lynn, in a new documentary about help for disadvantaged people.
Mr Lynn is hoping that Mow and Grow's appearance on the programme will help provide a boost for the project.
He told the local portal: "The programme will look at how we help a vulnerable person and take it all the way through to completion.
"We were on BBC1 last year where we got massive national exposure which led to finding which allowed us to expand. It helped us help just over 2,000 people so goodness knows what will happen this time."
