Laura Topp writes: Convenience is often top of the list of attributes for those shopping around for a new hedgetrimmer and as such the Stihl HLE-71K Electric Long Reach Hedgetrimmer is unlikely to disappoint.
This hedgetrimmer is shorter in length than the HLE-71, but is by no means any less useful.
Thanks to its 135 degree adjustable head and a shorter shaft, the Stihl HLE-71K has an overall length of 2.11 meters.
As such, it is ideally suited to more general purpose trimming and is great for getting at those hedges and shrubs which are closer to the ground.
Weighing 5.6 kilograms, it is not particularly heavy, which again means it is not difficult to manoeuvre.
According to Stihl, this product "provides a large working range and is suitable for vertical cutting at a distance from the hedge", while "ground-covering plants and shrubbery can also be cut horizontally".
The Stihl HLE-71K is available for £279.00 at Mow Direct, which is a good saving on the recommended retail price of £300.
