Leigh Jackson writes: Guildford Cathedral has finished work on a new garden designed to allow young people to express their feelings.
The outdoor space, which is named the Seeds of Hope garden, features a space for each season, an attractive bronze sculpture and will provide a place for regional grief-stricken youngsters to express their feelings of loss, the BBC reports,
Caroline Jay, the founder of the garden, revealed that the garden was designed to provide a support network for distraught young people.
"[The garden] is designed to help and encourage children and young people to explore feelings of loss with the support of their families, teachers, and carers," she told the broadcaster.
The garden was built at an overall cost of £90,000, with work taking nine months to complete.
Meanwhile, Lincolnshire's Louth County Hospital has opened a new garden at its Carlton Ward to provide an attractive space for its stroke patients, the Grimsby Telegraph reports.
