Middlewich gardeners poised for big competition
Mowdirect news > Gardening News
Friday, April 18 2008 12:50:25 by Tony Domingo
Tony Domingo writes: Keen green-fingered folks are readying their outdoor spaces for this year's Middlewich in Bloom garden competition.
The contest, which is in its fifth year, will award entrants with gold, silver and bronze medal across a number of categories, including best front garden and best hanging baskets, This Is Cheshire reports.
Carol Eccles, the organiser of the event, urged people across the area to show pride in their outdoor spaces by entering the contest.
"If people have put a lot of hard work into their garden and it's looking lovely then why not enter and maybe win a prize," she told the publication.
"There are some really gorgeous gardens in Middlewich and if people are making such an effort then they really should enter.
"When the gardens look nice it makes everywhere in Middlewich just look lovely and it's nice for everyone to see and enjoy," Ms Eccles added.
The winners of the award will be announced at the beginning July.
