Dorset garden becomes culture capital

Leigh Jackson writes: A Dorset green space has become the temporary home for some of the continents best pieces of contemporary artwork.
More than 50 of Europe's best sculptures will sit pride of place in the garden of Hugh Dunford Wood for the upcoming ArtsFest Open Studio trial, the BBC reports.
Delighted to be hosting the event, Mr Dunford Wood told the broadcaster: "This is an attempt to broaden the scope of the Open Studios and to bring some new ideas and new visitors to Lyme.
"I hope it can be shown that any garden, even public gardens, can be enhanced by the introduction of art."
The outdoor space, which is the centre of Lyme Regis, is following the lead of Chatsworth Gardens, which used its 105 acres to display modern sculptures last month.
Chatsworth played host to contemporary art luminaries such as Michal Rovner and Ju Ming.
