Leigh Jackson writes: A Stratford school celebrated 50 years of education by unveiling a brand new garden.
Shipston High School, which first opened in mid September 1957, revealed its new outdoor space at a special ceremony.
The garden, which was opened by one of the original members of staff, Venn Lewis, features a lush lawn and a large patio area with benches, the Stratford Observer reports.
Thrilled to unveil the new garden, current headteacher Jonathan Baker told the publication: "We are thrilled with the result of our ambitious 50th Anniversary Garden project.
"It has made a fantastic improvement to the school environment outside and complements all the extensive refurbishment work we have been doing inside."
The celebratory space cost £20,000 to build.
Meanwhile, Diane Dimbleby, a Grimsby resident who lost her long battle with cancer was commemorated with an attractive outdoor space.
The Peace Haven Garden was the idea of Ms Dimbleby's friend Ann Green.
