Essex man designs "Big Shrubber" bushes

Leylandii - the quick-growing, dense green bushes labelled by some as an eyesore - are generally either loved or loathed by gardeners.
Some very special bushes in Billericay, Essex, leave even less room for neutrality.
Retired banker Michael Geiger has carved out six impassive faces into his 12ft-high Leylandii bushes, which stare out at passers by.
Inevitably dubbed "Big Shrubber" by the Sun, the faces have attracted a lot of interest locally.
Mr Geiger said: "I am amazed at the attention the faces get. It makes me laugh at how they get people talking. They weren't difficult to do.
"Once you have the eyes, the nose is quite simple and all I had to do was cut deep into its base. But I have to trim them once a month and cut the top of the hedge twice a year."
Mr Geiger, inspired by the famous Moai statues of Easter Island in his design, used clippers and string to create the effect. He claimed that "people seem to like it" and that neighbours "are always walking past and taking a peek".
