A new garden has been opened to the public in Peterborough.
The new garden forms part of the Railworld site, and features plants, trees and a paved areas for its visitors.
Known as the Wheel Garden, it was planted by local volunteers and funded by grants from Peterborough in Bloom and the Colouring the Community fund from Dulux.
The site was opened by Peterborough City Council's Stephen Goldspink last week.
Railworld is one of the UK's most visited rail museums. The Peterborough site boasts steam train exhibits, locomotives and model railways. It also provides education to visitors about the need for sustainable transport.
The Wheel Garden was planned as an extension of that environmentally-friendly message. Now, with the garden being opened, it hopes to be able to provide a haven for wildlife as well.
The gardens, entrance to which is free of charge, will be open to visitors from 11am to 4pm every day.
