Bosch makes shearing 'easier'

The new Isio, a "compact, lightweight grass and shrub shear with lithium-ion battery" has been described as a "world first" by manufacturer Bosch.

This product is designed to provide the user with an easier shearing experience compared to when using traditional cordless gardening shears and the battery has a short charge time.

Another feature making life easier for gardeners is the weight: at only 500 grams, the Bosch Isio makes light work of lawn edges, bedding frames, shrubs and waysides, without the act of shearing being a mission.

Following on from its successful roll-out in mobile phones and laptop computers, the lithium-ion battery has been incorporated into the Bosch Isio for the fact that there is "hardly any self-discharge and no memory effect".

Furthermore, "an LED display informs the user about the charging process. It lights up when the battery is being charged; the light goes out when the battery is full. This level of convenience is something that previously known cordless shears do not have".
