The Bosch AXT 2200 Rapid certainly lives up to its name, with its additional gearing system and extra-powerful 2200w (14Nm) Powerdrive motor combining to deliver a seven-fold increase in cutting-efficiency on start-up compared to conventional impact-type garden shredders (the throughput rate is a speedy 90kg/hr).
The cutting-mechanism comprises a double-sided Swiss-made blade, which will effortlessly reduce both green and woody debris to an excellent mulch that will rapidly decompose on your compost-heap. Branches up to 14-inches in diameter are acceptable.
As if it weren’t fast enough as it stands, the Bosch AXT 2200 Rapid Electric Garden Shredder also features a larger hopper intake and an ideally-shaped plunger, both of which contribute further to speed-of-operation.
It weighs just 12kg and sits on a pair of large-diameter wheels, so it couldn’t be easier to move from site to site; and it’s equipped with an overload protection switch that will spare the gearing and motor should the mechanism jam.
