Hints & Tips
Might we just dare to believe that we’re in for an early Spring? Certainly the birds think so for the blue tits have started chirruping in the hedges and the wrens are joining.
And take a look at the borders and you’ll see bulbs peeking through and roses with plenty of new buds.
Lawns are looking as if they’re enjoying life a bit more and it won’t be that long before they’ll need the first cut of the new gardening year.
Now’s a great time to buy a new mower or garden tractor and to give you an idea of what’s available here are ten top deals to greet the new gardening year, five mowers and five tractors.
The first is one new for this year, offering amazing value for money.
The MowMaster 43PD 3-in-1 Self-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower was designed with British lawns in mind and lets you choose whether to collect or mulch or just drop the cut grass.
Different areas of the garden need different treatment so you can just drop the grass on the rougher areas and collect or mulch in the more formal areas –but don’t be tempted to fit the mulch plug until a warm day when the grass is dry.
There are five cutting heights from 25mm to 70mm and the grass box holds 40 litres and it is easy to use as it is a self-propelled, so no working up a sweat pushing it up slopes and through thicker, longer grass.
