Time to scarify the lawn to help next year’s growth

Lawns should be scarified regularly throughout the year but now is one of the most important periods to catch up on this task.
If you have not done this recently you will see that layers of dead grass have formed across the turf keeping nutrients and moisture away from the roots and stifling new growth.

A proper industrial scarifier does a much better job than any cheap electric lawn rake, won’t tear your grass and are well worth the investment.
Don’t be afraid to go at the lawn very hard at this time of year, if you’re back down to soil, just re-seed and it will be back to it’s best in no-time!
