Broadleigh Gardens celebrates its final Chelsea Show

Broadleigh Gardens celebrates its final Chelsea Show<br>
Broadleigh Gardens is to celebrate its 40th entry into the 2012 Chelsea Flower Show – and it is also to be the last year it participates.

This also has a personal significance to managing director of Broadleigh Christine Skelmersdale, who celebrates her 40th wedding anniversary this year.

In honour of this landmark, a ruby theme is planned – so among the plants on their stand will be tulips in all shades of pink and purple.

Master blacksmith Michael Jacques has created a centrepiece of a stunning gate with a flame fence, which will be lined with posters of the past four decades of the exhibit.

Green-fingered Brits inspired by this display will wish to ensure they invest in the right garden tools for the careful cultivation of plants.

Hedgetrimmers are ideal for taller perennials and shrubs that typically line fences and offer the freedom to work without the need for a cord.
