If you’re maintaining areas that are too large or too densely overgrown to tackle with a conventional handheld brushcutter, then the Bertolini 403 is the machine for you. It’s equipped with an extra-wide 115cm scythe-blade that guarantees a rapid work-rate, and which is capable of cutting through everything from thick, long grass; through to invasive bramble and even young saplings.
The Bertolini 403 Scythe Mower is powered a solidly dependable 163cc Honda GX160 engine. This four-stroke, overhead-valve unit offers a high compression-ratio and precise valve-timing for superior fuel-efficiency; and it combines improved muffler technology with precision-engineered components to ensure noise- and vibration-levels are both kept to a minimum. A ball-bearing supported crank and a cast-iron cylinder-sleeve work to maximise durability; while a decompression-valve means only a gentle pull on the starter-rope is needed for ignition.
Thanks to its two-wheeled design and lightweight, perfectly balanced build, the Bertolini 403 is agile, manoeuvrable and easy to control. It has a four-speed gearbox (two forward; two reverse), which contributes further to manoeuvrability, while also enabling you to operate at a forward-speed which best suits the nature of the application.
For enhanced operator-comfort, Bertolini have equipped the 403 with a vibration-isolated, six-stage height-adjustable handlebar. The handlebar can also be offset; ideal when working with the optional tiller-attachment fitted.
All available attachments are quick and simple to fit; no tools required.
