The processing of large volumes of wood for the hearth and/or wood-burner will become more of a pleasure than a chore with this premium-grade German-engineered log-splitter from Al-Ko.

Its heavy-duty hydraulic ram powers the log into the splitting-wedge with a force of six tonnes, thereby ensuring a rapid work-rate no matter what the density of the wood you're working with. The base-plate is adjustable through three-steps to suit the length of the log to be split (logs between 550 and 1059mm are acceptable).

The Al-Ko LHS6000 Electric Powered Hydraulic Log-Splitter is equipped with a very high-performance 3000w motor that develops power-levels equivalent to many petrol engine, but which won't give you any starting- or maintenance-issues.

It's fitted with four tubular-steel feet that can be swung-out to provide added stability during the splitting-process; and it employs a safety-switching system

• Due to the high start up amperage we cannot guarantee that this product will not blow the 13amp fuse fitted to the plug supplied.
