Powering it is a long-lasting, low-noise 1500w electric motor that enables the ram to develop a brutal four-tonne splitting-force; enough to turn even well-seasoned hardwoods in to neat, uniformly-sized logs perfect for the wood-burner or hearth. The maximum split-length is 37cm; the maximum split-diameter is 25cm.
The Al-Ko KHS3700L Electric-Powered Hydraulic Log Splitter combines a wide stance with a low centre-of-gravity to ensure it stable both in operation and during transport.
Its wide tyres allow the unit to roll smoothly over bumpy ground; while its employment of two-handed safety-switching means unintentional activation of the splitting-mechanism is virtually impossible.
